Elizabeth Hayward was found guilty of stealing a linen gown, silk bonnet, and a cloak from the man to whom she was apprenticed. She was sentenced to 7 years transportation.

Elizabeth was aboard the Lady Penrhyn and thus became the youngest female convict on the First Fleet at 13 years old.

Elizabeth was sent to Norfolk Island on the Sirius in 1790, where she had 3 children. She eventually had a fourth child before leaving Norfolk Island to Van Diemen's land and settled in Launceston.
