Lesson 4

Today, we're going to write in our journals about the First Fleet's arrival at Botany Bay. Think about how people felt, how they were treated, and what their daily life was like. Get ready to imagine and write down your thoughts!

Success Criteria:

  • I will write a journal entry detailing activities likely undertaken by convict settlers from the First Fleet to demonstrate an understanding of what life was like for them.

  • I will demonstrate empathy for how the convict settlers from the First Fleet felt by including a description of their challenges, feelings and thoughts in my journal entry.

Welcome to our final lesson. Today, we are going to be creating our own journals as what we would feel to be a convict.
